How SurfyHost Works

For Travelers: Browse, Contact, Book Direct

Finding a reliable rental in Central America is harder than it should be. Social groups move fast and disappear. WhatsApp threads go quiet. Listings look good in photos and turn out very different in person. SurfyHost exists to cut through that noise.

1. Start with verified listings

Every property on SurfyHost is reviewed before going live. Contact details are confirmed, and listings are visited in person where possible. What you see on Our Listings is what actually exists. No ghost listings, no unmoderated uploads.

2. Contact the host directly

Each listing includes the host’s WhatsApp, email, and any other channels they’ve chosen to share. Reach out, negotiate dates and price, and agree on terms without a platform intermediary or booking queue. Where accepted, you can pay in cryptocurrency.

3. No fees, on either side

SurfyHost is free for travelers. No booking fee, no service fee, no markup. What the host publishes is what you pay. On a two-week rental or a three-month stay, that difference adds up to real money.

For Hosts: List Your Property, Keep What You Earn

If you’ve ever listed a property on a major booking platform, you already know the math. It’s 15% to 20% per booking, taken automatically, on every transaction. You built the property. You manage the guests. You handle the maintenance.

SurfyHost is a different model. Create your account and you keep every cent your guests pay you.

Create your listing

From your account, you build your listing directly: exact location and Google Maps pin, photos, description, pricing, availability, your WhatsApp number, email address, website, and any other contact details you want to share.

You control what appears. There is no template forcing you into a generic format.

Three steps, then you're live

Once you’re live, inquiries come directly to you. You handle the communication, the payment terms, and the logistics yourself. SurfyHost’s role ends at visibility and trust. The relationship with your guest is entirely yours.

Verification before you go live

The verification process checks that the property is real, the contact details are accurate, and the listing represents the property honestly. For properties in Costa Rica, physical visits are carried out where possible.

Verified listings build trust with travelers, which means fewer wasted inquiries and more serious ones.

What you keep

No booking commission. No transaction fee. No percentage taken when a guest pays.
Hosts pay a listing fee to be published on the platform. After that, every payment goes directly to you through whatever method you and the traveler agree on.

Direct relationships with guests also mean something beyond the economics. Repeat visitors, word-of-mouth referrals, and the ability to set your own terms: these are things a platform commission model works against by design. SurfyHost works with them. To see the kind of properties already live on the platform, browse the full listings.
